GREAT Scholarships in UK for International Students 2024/2025

Application for 2024/2025 edition of the GREAT Scholarships has started. The scholarship offers students from 15 countries the opportunity to have £10,000 towards their tuition fees for a wide range of one-year taught postgraduate courses in the United Kingdom. Around 210 awards will be offered in 2024/25 academic year.

Each scholarship is jointly funded by the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign and the British Council with participating UK higher education institutions.

Host Institutions

About 71 universities across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Level and Field of Study

Eligible one-year postgraduate taught Master’s programmes offered by participating Universities.

Target Group

Students from the following countries: Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam

Scholarship Benefits

GREAT Scholarships cover £10,000 towards each student’s tuition fees for one year.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for GREAT Scholarships, you must:

  • come from any of the participating countries (listed above)
  • have an undergraduate degree, be motivated, and have an interest in the proposed subject area
  • meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI.
