With a rich history of empowering students of color and promoting academic excellence, TMCF offers a prestigious scholarship opportunity that could be your ticket to success.
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund was founded in 1987 and named after the iconic civil rights leader and Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall. TMCF is the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community. TMCF’s mission is to provide scholarships, internships, and other educational opportunities to talented and deserving students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs).
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and The Sallie Mae Fund are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending an accredited post-secondary graduate level institution. Ten (10) students enrolled at least part-time in an accredited graduate level program will be selected to receive a scholarship up to $10,000.00 for the 2023-2024 academic school year.
Eligibility Requirements
An applicant must:
- Be enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited post-secondary institution in a graduate level program for during the 2023-2024 academic year
- Have current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
- Be able to demonstrate leadership abilities
- Be able to demonstrate good moral character in all aspects of your life, including personal, professional, educational, in your community, and online presence
- Be a diverse candidate.
