Application for the 2024/2025 Canada student grants for full-time students is now open. The grant is available to full-time students who are having financial difficulties. Candidates are automatically assessed when they apply for student aid with their respective provinces or territories.
Candidates are to note that his grant is not available to students from the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec as they have their own student aid programs.
Eligibility Criteria
You could be eligible for the Canada Student Grants for Full-Time Students if you apply and:
- have a financial need
- are a full-time student in a qualified program at a designated school
- your total family income is less than the income threshold below
Grant Benefits
Until the end of the 2024 to 2025 school year, each candidate could receive up to $4,200 per year or up to $525 per month of study. Candidates can get this grant for each year of their undergraduate studies as long as they are still in school full-time. The school year runs from August 1 to July 31.

Application for student aid is made through the student’s province or territory. Therefore, applicants are required to go to their province or territory to:

- know how much you could get
- apply for student grants and loans
